About BRYO

Mission Statement

The aim of Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra Inc. is to promote and foster scholarship, interest, enthusiasm and social welfare of youth in the learning, playing and appreciation of music in orchestral and other forms.

History

The Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra was founded in 1983 by Mark and Brenda Sullivan.

Volunteers
BRYO has many volunteers who assist with orchestral administration, library, camps, concerts, tours, canteen, fundraising or by offering their expertise in specialised areas (eg. IT, graphic design, general repairs). BRYO would like to thank all of our volunteers for 2009.

Tutors, Auditioners, Accompanists
BRYO employs professional musicians on a casual basis for tutorials, for audition panels and as accompanists for recitals.
